Website and product shop

The website provides information about Oritoke and makes published hair and scalp-care products available for enquiry or purchase. Product availability, variants and prices may change. Salon services and appointment rules are separate from these product-sale terms and will be presented when an online booking service is introduced.

Prices, stock and orders

Consumer prices are displayed in South African Rand and include VAT unless we state otherwise. An order is an offer to buy. It is confirmed only after payment succeeds and Oritoke validates stock and accepts the order. Items placed in a cart are not reserved before that point.

If a price is clearly incorrect, stock becomes unavailable, or an order cannot be fulfilled after payment, Oritoke will contact you and offer an available alternative, an agreed delay, or a refund to the original payment method. We will not substitute an item without your agreement.

Payment

Online payments are processed securely by Paystack. Oritoke does not receive or store your complete card details. A payment acknowledgement is not a dispatch confirmation. Suspected fraud, reversed payments and failed verification may delay or cancel fulfilment.

Product enquiries

A WhatsApp or contact-form enquiry is not a confirmed order and does not reserve stock. WhatsApp is a third-party service and its terms and privacy practices apply when you choose to use it.

Delivery, collection, cancellation and returns

Delivery areas, courier charges, free-delivery thresholds, collection arrangements, cancellations, returns, exchanges and refund processing are described in the Shipping & Returns Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Product information and safe use

Read product labels, ingredients, warnings, expiry information and storage instructions before use. Perform a patch test where appropriate and stop use if irritation occurs. Results vary between individuals. Website content and product descriptions are not medical advice and do not replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional. Contact Oritoke before purchasing if you have known allergies, scalp conditions or uncertainty about suitability.

Reviews, photographs and submissions

If you voluntarily submit a review, testimonial or photograph, you confirm that it is truthful and that you have the right to provide it. Oritoke will obtain any further permission required before using identifiable customer content in marketing. We may moderate or decline unlawful, abusive or misleading content.

Launch and marketing messages

Joining the launch list does not reserve stock or guarantee an offer or launch date. Marketing is by consent and may be stopped using the unsubscribe link or by contacting Oritoke. Our handling of personal information is explained in the Privacy Policy.

Intellectual property and acceptable use

The Oritoke name, branding, photographs, product copy and website content may not be reproduced or commercially used without permission, except where law permits it. Do not misuse the website, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, submit false information or use automated means to abuse its services.

Availability and liability

We take reasonable steps to keep information and services accurate and available, but temporary interruptions may occur. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act or other applicable law. Subject to those rights, Oritoke is not responsible for indirect loss that was not reasonably foreseeable.

Complaints and disputes

Please contact us first so that we can investigate and try to resolve a concern. These terms are governed by South African law. You may also use any complaint or dispute process available under the Consumer Protection Act and other applicable legislation.

Changes

We may update these terms when our products, providers or legal obligations change. The effective date will be updated, and material changes will apply prospectively unless law requires otherwise.
